International Conference on Asymptotic Methods in Stochastics

ICAMS'02 Conference was held May 23-25, 2002. It was organized by Barbara Szyszkowicz, Carleton University, and Lajos Horvath, University of Utah.

A Proceedings Volume is currently being prepared for publication in the Fields Institute Communications and Monographs Series.

International Conference on Recent Advances in Survey Sampling

ICRASS conference was organized by Georgia Roberts, Statistics Canada, sponsored by LRSP and Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Carleton University. The workshop focussed on recent advances in Nonparametric Statistics and their use in statistical methods for various problems and analysis of experiments.

Workshop on Nonparametric Statistics and Related Topics

Workshop on Nonparametric Statistics and Related Topics, May 4 & 5, 1997, organized by J.N.K. Rao, sponsored by LRSP and Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Carleton University. The workshop focussed on recent advances in Nonparametric Statistics and their use in statistical methods for various problems and analysis of experiments.

A Proceedings volume "Statistical Inference" has been published by Nova Science Publishers Inc. (Editors: E. Ahmed, M. Ahsanullah and B K Sinha). The volume consists of 27 papers with a total of 350 pages.

ICAMPS'97:

International Conference on Asymptotic Methods in Probability and Statistics, 8-13 July 1997, sponsored by the Laboratory for Research in Statistics and Probability and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Carleton University. The aim of the conference was to provide a platform for the exchange of recent findings and new ideas inspired by the so-called Hungarian construction and other approximation methodologies. The main themes of the conference included strong and weak invariance principles and their applications, fine analytic properties of stochastic processes, financial modelling, branching and infinite dimensional processes, almost sure and weak limit theorems, empirical, quantile, partial sum and point processes, processes of change-point analysis, empirical reliability and operations research. The organizer of the conference was Barbara Szyszkowicz

The proceedings volume was produced by Elsevier Science B.V. Publishers, entitled ASYMPTOTIC METHODS IN PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS

International Conference on Stochastic Models

International Conference on Stochastic Models , June 9-12, 1998 . The Laboratory for Research in Statistics and Probability hosted an International Conference on Stochastic Models in celebration of the work of Donald Dawson at Carleton University. The focus of the conference was on the analysis and applications of stochastic models in population biology, information systems and mathematical finance. The conference was organized by Gail Ivanoff, University of Ottawa, and Luis Gorostiza, Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del I.P.N., Mexico.

A proceedings volume was published in the Conference Proceedings Series of the Canadian Mathematical Society. The Editors of the Volume are Luis Gorostiza and Gail Ivanoff.
